You May Not Know Me, But This Guy Does
In the "what a doll!" department: here's a beautiful testimonial
good buddy Andy Wibbels, author of
BlogWild: A Guide To Small Business Blogging , sent to his newsletter list on the debut of Everyday Bliss For Busy Women.
"Maryam's an expert on the full palette of energy and healing practices
and is always my go-to when I need the low-down on the latest
techniques to bubble up from the spiritual and new age underground.
She's traveled through every spiritual tradition I can think of and is
an expert at cooking things down to their easiest graspable essence. On
a personal level, she's one of my own fellow travelers as we've built
our businesses in parallel together (and a long-time blogger to boot!).
Plus, she's just a freakin' gem."

Thanks Andy, right back at'cha, buddy!
(Hey Gents! What I write about is good for you too!)
Here's How We Did
At Amazon.com:
As of midnight on 5/2/2008, Everyday Bliss was listed
at #2 in Women's Health at Amazon.com, and at #5 in Personal
Transformation, and #142 in all Books sitewide, up from 8,978 at the start of its premiere day 24 hours earlier.
It's worthwhile to note that EDB's "neighbors" in the
category of Personal Transformation included above me at #4, Dale
Carnegie's venerable "How To Win Friends and Influence People" and
below in 6th position, Eckhart Tolle's current Oprah's Book Club
choice, "A New Earth".
I don't at all mind being at the feet
of Dale Carnegie, and gobsmacked to be above Eckhart. What blows me away is that for a few minutes in time at least, my book
was thought to be at least as significant as these great works. Bless me! (ps: want pictoral proof? click the tiny pic above)
Love & Warm Blessings,
Maryam

6/7/08 In Point Reyes again. Drake's Beach, sand in the pants, himself in the sun, oysters, bonfires, fantastic.
I'm munching over what blogs I want to visit on the Book Tour
commencing in August, to let the world know about Everyday Bliss. I
already have a shortlist of ten and am seeking to add more. I need your help!
Do you have a Women's Issues, Executive Woman, Busy Mom or Self-Help blog that gets 5,000 hits a month or more?
Or, do you know someone really cool who does? If so, contact me
and let me know!
Here's what YOU the Blog Author will receive:
- I'll guest author your blog for a day, and write a happy and JUICILY INFORMATIVE entry for you to post. Just this once, you're freed up from that task and can go to Aruba for the week. Or do whatever else turns you on, with all that extra time.
- I'll do an expert call for your email list OR record a podcast
feature, for those blogs with podcasts on how to get past whatever THEIR major problem is, and into Bliss. You get an auto-tweet. Sweet.
-
Your blog will be featured on the Bliss Book Tour Blogroll and
wider still on our adwords campaign, for added exposure. You'll get a ton of hits back to your blog and/or website. More visitors = more exposure for your message. Nice.
Such a deal!
If this describes your outreach and blog focus, hop to it and

2/16/08 Point Reyes Peninsula, in a field of heather and salt grass
:::munch, munch, munch::: I'm considering how I want to do a book tour with Everyday Bliss For Busy Women coming out in May and in addition to various cities, am thinking to tour blogs that are dedicatated to beautiful living and blissful, peaceful hearts.
I'm currently in Point Reyes Station, California, watching a beautiful Guernsey cow chewing her cud on a vast expanse of green pastureland overlooking Drake's estero - the bay Sir Francis Drake supposedly sailed into. Close to an out of the way cafe here, is paradoxically, wireless access so here I am. Who'd'a thunk it?
If you come to Point Reyes (which I highly recommend for rest and relaxation) you must visit the Cowgirl Creamery inside Tomales Bay Foods for surpassingly excellent cheeses, the Garden of Eden, my friend Eden Clearbrook's wonderful cottage herbwife shop, which has just about every simple and complex herbal cosmetic, cure and soothing potion known, and Point Reyes Books where I always find something new and exciting to read you'd never find in your standard big-box store.
Once you exit the book shop, grab tea or coffee at the divine Bovine Bakery and chill out on a bluff overlooking the sea with the picnic of a lifetime.
The Marin headlands area is a great place to relax and get back to a slower rhythm, back to what Bliss is all about. Take time to let the wind empty out your brain and sweep away all the crunched-up stress-induced cobwebs. Mmmm...
