Sharing Bliss Research begins... E-mail

I am thinking about the nature of bliss and all I have learned from the many avatars of Bliss that have graced my life. Today as I watch Sukhavati in daily Bliss Inspiration, I give thanks for the life of Joseph Campbell. I have dedicated primary acknowledgements in my book partially to him, among others who serve as avatars of bliss to me. He said on this amazing film, speaking about the Hindu conception of a predictable procession of yugas, or eras of the multiverse. Yugas are considered to be both positive and negative in terms of how humans view them. Vishnu creates, Kali destroys, life goes on. Campbell had this to say of the importance of this world-view:

"What is important is the nature of this expansion of time is that it diminishes the importance of the present moment and makes us able to see it as a flash on the surface of the waters of eternity."

- Joseph Campbell, Sukhavati

Now this seems in a appearance to be absolutely counter to the teachings of another mentor, Eckhart Tolle, for whom the present moment is everything - an alpha-omega unto itself.

What is the reconciliation between these two very present, aware philosophies?
