In the "what a doll!" department: here's a beautiful testimonial
good buddy Andy Wibbels, author of
BlogWild: A Guide To Small Business Blogging , sent to his newsletter list on the debut of Everyday Bliss For Busy Women.
"Maryam's an expert on the full palette of energy and healing practices
and is always my go-to when I need the low-down on the latest
techniques to bubble up from the spiritual and new age underground.
She's traveled through every spiritual tradition I can think of and is
an expert at cooking things down to their easiest graspable essence. On
a personal level, she's one of my own fellow travelers as we've built
our businesses in parallel together (and a long-time blogger to boot!).
Plus, she's just a freakin' gem."
(Hey Gents! What I write about is good for you too!)
Here's How We Did
At Amazon.com:
As of midnight on 5/2/2008, Everyday Bliss was listed
at #2 in Women's Health at Amazon.com, and at #5 in Personal
Transformation, and #142 in all Books sitewide, up from 8,978 at the start of its premiere day 24 hours earlier.
It's worthwhile to note that EDB's "neighbors" in the
category of Personal Transformation included above me at #4, Dale
Carnegie's venerable "How To Win Friends and Influence People" and
below in 6th position, Eckhart Tolle's current Oprah's Book Club
choice, "A New Earth".
I don't at all mind being at the feet
of Dale Carnegie, and gobsmacked to be above Eckhart. What blows me away is that for a few minutes in time at least, my book
was thought to be at least as significant as these great works. Bless me! (ps: want pictoral proof? click the tiny pic above)
Love & Warm Blessings,
Maryam
What a great review of Everyday Bliss from veteran mommy blogger, Christine Flynn who writes over at Mom's Favorite Stuff . Here's the gist:
For more than a year now, I’ve been doing tons of research in the fields of personal productivity and organization. I love reading how to streamline, how to find flow, and how to get the most out of the time that I have…but I forgot something. What about me? Moms need to work on themselves, too. I think it’s very often the case that we focus so much on what’s happening with our children, our marriage, our home, that we actually forget about ourselves.
The first up for review is Everyday Bliss for Busy Women. This beautifully designed book provides women with some great information on how to find their own bliss. Finding bliss isn’t just about finding peace but also gaining focus and limiting the mental clutter that builds up while you’re too busy to notice. The book includes activities and exercises that can help the busy woman to find herself again, to deal with her past, and to help re-shape her negative thinking.
After a few weeks with Everyday Bliss for Busy Woman, my book is dog-eared, marked up and well read. I love the activities and I also love the thinking that they have inspired. For any busy woman, mother or not, this book would make for a wonderful gift. Pair it with a pretty journal and a sleek pen and you’ll have a very special gift.
Wowser, thanks Chris! Tippo of the big sombrero to ya, you're doing good work for frazzled Moms.
